BioRead - EDGE Deployable Systems

The ability to quickly and immediately evaluate a warfighter's vital signs is paramount to the safety and well being of both the individual and the supporting team. In response, EDGE Deployable Systems has developed a wireless health-monitoring capability for military field medicine.

The system does not require the intervention of the user to activate or to transmit the data to a remote health provider. One or more wearable sensors, as appropriate to the mission, connect wirelessly to a centralized data concentrator within the warfighter's vest. Critical information, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood oxygenation and stress (ECG) can be remotely accessed and monitored through a simple, low cost platform such as a vest-mounted iPhone, iPod Touch, or ruggedized, commercial PDA.
